In particular, cooked, cured and cheese products can be especially vulnerable to contamination due to their moisture content and nutrients, which can promote the growth of micro-organisms. These cleanrooms are designed to minimize the presence of particles in the air, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and ensuring that products are free of impurities.
     
  • Pre-cooked products: Preparation and packaging of IV and V range products.
    IV and V range pre-cooked products, such as ready meals or ready-to-heat meals, may be particularly vulnerable to contamination due to their high nutrient and moisture content. In addition, the pre-cooking process is often not sufficient to remove all micro-organisms present in food, which can increase the risk of food-borne illness if not properly handled and packaged.
