For B. Braun¹’s new Ecoflac-Plus® infusion bottle production facility, the project requirements included, among many other criteria, optimising process times, ensuring a short implementation phase and significantly reducing the operating costs associated with drying the bottles between autoclave sterilisation and labelling.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, Valtria’s new drying tunnel was selected for its ability to achieve a drying time of less than two hours, with a capacity of 9 pallets (36,000 bottles) per batch, while significantly reducing energy consumption thanks to its highly efficient drying principle.

The system’s integrated, modular design enables initial commissioning to be carried out at the factory. During the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), the dryer underwent extensive testing with the participation of the B. Braun project team. At the same time, approximately 80% of the functional IQ and OQ tests were successfully completed.

Thanks to its plug-and-play design, most of the new drying tunnel is delivered in modules that have already been accepted by the customer and are ready for operation.

Just four weeks after installation work began at the B. Braun facility, qualification was completed as planned and the system was handed over to the customer.

With growing demand for flexibility, scalability, efficiency and, of course, quality in production processes, the planning and integration of new systems require not only outstanding technical expertise, but also an in-depth understanding of specific processes, technological developments and regulatory requirements.

The integrated, modular concept of Valtria’s new drying tunnel provides maximum scalability, flexible adaptation and rapid integration into each customer’s specific production processes.
