Interview with Ignacio Carmona: Health and Safety at Valtria

In our conversation with Ignacio Carmona, Head of Health and Safety at Valtria, we addressed three key questions that everyone across the company should consider. This led us to one clear conclusion: “We see health and safety management as a fundamental pillar of business leadership. Doing things right the first time means doing them safely.”

How does VALTRIA promote a health and safety culture? What is its main approach to ensuring health and safety?

Ignacio Carmona: Valtria’s health and safety culture is based on an approach in which occupational health and safety is considered a shared responsibility that must be visible and put into practice at every level of the company.

This culture is driven by management and reinforced through the active involvement of everyone at Valtria. We do not simply focus on complying with legal obligations and other requirements; we promote the continuous improvement of working conditions through the effective management of safety, health and wellbeing. This involves not only Valtria, but also suppliers, partner companies, clients and other stakeholders, with the aim of preventing accidents and harm to health while providing a safe and healthy working environment that supports overall wellbeing.

Valtria has adopted the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, reflecting these commitments in our Integrated Management System Policy. At Valtria, we see health and safety management as a fundamental pillar of business leadership. Doing things right the first time means doing them safely.

How is the approach to health and safety evolving in the cleanroom design and installation sector?

Ignacio Carmona: Our clients operate internationally and work to standards of excellence that require us to continuously improve health, safety and wellbeing. This means constantly developing and updating our working systems and control methods, while introducing new awareness initiatives and promoting best practices.

Future challenges go beyond simply complying with legislation or “making organisations safer”. Today, health and safety plays a much more complex role, with increasingly significant implications across many levels of an organisation.

Is Valtria investing in new technologies for health and safety?

Ignacio Carmona: Absolutely. We are working towards greater collaborative digitalisation. The trend is towards having more technical, financial and human resources available, while establishing mechanisms to ensure that these resources can be sustained over time. Integrating new technologies is key to continuously improving our processes and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for everyone.

At Valtria, we are committed to remaining a trusted partner for companies seeking to ensure health and safety in controlled environments. As specialists in cleanroom design and installation, we provide advanced solutions focused on prevention and on ensuring the effectiveness of every process.
